It’s two months into the year and I haven’t bought a book yet. What is this miracle? Who am I? All I needed was a lot of will power and an amazing library.
I picked up so many good reads this month! Some I still have to finish and others I’ve flown through!
Wundersmith The Calling of Morrigan Crow – Jessica Townsend

This series just warms my heart! It’s so full of whimsy and magic but deals with issues that young kids can go through. I need the next book now!
Jackaby – William Ritter

I finally got to start this series! I’ve loaned it out of the library once before and never got round to it. Jackaby is my favourite character atm and I have an obsession with paranormal detectives set in Victorian.
The Way of All Flesh – Ambrose Parry

Another book set in the Victorian era! This is a historical fiction dealing with mystery and medical deaths of young women. I’m halfway through this and I’m loving it so far!
Super Better – Jane McGonigal

A non-fiction! What! Super Better is about how we can use how we play games to build up our resilience and help with anxiety. This has been great for me as I’ve started playing games lately.
Library Love Challenge Update
I’m taking part in Angel’s Guilty Pleasures Library Love Challenge this year! This is my excuse for using the library so much. I’ve currently read 7 library books in 2019 and I’m aiming to read at least 12 library books this year.
Have you picked up any library books this year?
Nice work on utilizing the library so much!! I haven’t checked any books out but have been getting into purchasing old library books! Makes me feel good that they’ve been well-loved and get a second life with me, plus they’re way cheaper than buying new!

YES JACKABY!!!! it’s one of my underrated favorite series, and I’m so glad you’re enjoying it ๐ also, yay for supporting libraries! mine is the source of nearly all the books I read, even though I spend most of the year out of state at school (and college textbooks eat up my book budget ๐) – libraries with ebooks are my especial favorite, though of course all institutions that make books more accessible to more people are awesome ๐

Hellooooooo is this the real Lisa? ๐ฎ
Jackaby sounds awesome and I keep forgetting to read the book as well after seeing it years ago. (I’m a sucker for Victorian as well.) You’re making great progress on the library love challenge! Maybe you’ll even knock it straight out of the ball park too. ๐
