I have finally got my reading groove back! I’ve read a couple books the last two weeks and have fallen in love with reading again. At Christmas I got the deal of 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for £2. The dream for someone who’s 2019 goal is to try more lesser known authors.
I’ve tried a good few Kindle Unlimited books. Some I returned after ten pages or so, others I’ve devoured as soon as I’ve set down to read it. So today I’m recommending 5 books I read and loved from Kindle Unlimited:
Golden Curse – M Lynn

I just finished Golden Curse today and loved it. Book 1 in a series were magic has been purged in a kingdom but the fate of a female warrior with magic is tied to the prince. It was such a fun read and I flew through it in 2 days. Also it’s part fairytale retelling but with a completely different spin <3. I can’t wait to get to the next one!
Paper Magician – Charlie Holmberg

Paper Magician is a series I’ve talked about before. My love for it knows no bounds. It has such an interesting magic system and the relationship is dreams! I love courtship in Victorian-ish settings in books!
The Confectioner’s Guild – Claire Luana

The Confectioner’s Guild is a sweet book (hahaha sweet) following a girl who can bake magic into cupcakes and a murder mystery. The friendships in this book are great and the book turns a would-be love triangle on its head.
The Hundredth Queen – Emily R King

The Hundredth Queen is a fantastic fantasy series set in a world where women have to fight to become one of the tyrant Rajah’s 99 wives. Full of female friendship, romance and politics it is a totally absorbing series!
Curiouser & Curiouser

A steampunk retelling of Alice and Wonderland! The dreams are real, my two favourite genres in one. Again I loved the Victorian type romance elements in this. What made the story though was the love Alice had for her sister. I can’t wait to continue on with the rest of her Steampunk fairytales!
I know now that there are some awesome books on Kindle Unlimited that I wouldn’t have found otherwise. I look forward to find more hidden gems!
Have you tried Kindle Unlimited? Are there any series or books you have discovered that you fell in love with?
I’ve been actively trying to stay away from KU because my TBR is already way too long, but these all look amazing! I was actually a little disappointed by the second book in the Paper Magician series, but I’m glad it brings you so much joy 💕 I’ll definitely have to check out The Confectioner’s Guild and Curiouser & Curiouser!

I don’t have KU, mostly because I know I’ll just want everything and never get through it all but everything on your list sounds amazing! I’m going to look up the Paper Magician and Golden Curse though, maybe I’ll do the trial, read them and cancel bahaha, or just buy them, who knows! But I’m glad you shared these books they really all do sound awesome!

They are really good! Golden Curse through me with how much I liked it. The trial is definitely worth it but finding books is hard so I try to share the ones I liked!

I love this post~! I found KU a little daunting because there were a lot of things that weren’t… great on there, but I decided to take the plunge when I saw Return to Dyatlov Pass was one of the books there.
I’m definitely bookmarking this to read for later. ❤
