The Grinch with Jim Carrey has been my favourite Christmas movie since I was little and I cringed when I saw a reimagining of the Grinch was coming this year. That being said, I loved it, I’ve already seen The Grinch 2018 twice and will be seeing it for a 3rd time this week!
Does it overtake Jim Carrey as the Grinch? Not quite
Does it still grow your cold heart? Yes, yes it does
So being inspired by the reimagining, I’ve made a book tag based on the 2018 edition! Anyone is welcome to take part in this tag!
- Grinch: A Book That’s Made You a Grump While Reading

The Truth and Lies of Ella Black is the only book I’ve flung across the room. The way Ella treated her parents, the insta love and the angst just made me so mad!
2. Max: A Side Character More Likeable Than The Main

The main character Lydia of If We’re Not Married by Thirty is likeable enough but Hazel, Danny’s mum makes the book. She’s hilarious and always comes in at the wrong time.
3. Running From the Choir: A Hyped Book You Don’t Want To Read

I feel that Cassandra Clare’s books are everywhere in the book community, especially as there is a big release this month. I just have no intention of picking up any of the Cassandra Clare books after reading the first three Mortal Instruments books.
4. Cindy Lou: Sweet Selfless Character

Daisy from Giant Days is one of the sweetest, caring characters I’ve ever read about. She helps Susan and Esther through their messes and never complains. She is also definitely my favourite character in the graphic novel series.
5. Donna (Cindy-Lou’s Mum): A Parent That Is Actual In The Story

Auggie’s parents are ever present in Wonder, they aren’t perfect but they care for Auggie and his sister through the hard times and have a lot of fun as well. They are always looking out for Auggie in their own ways.
6. Bricklebaum: A Character Who is Always Jolly/ Makes You Happy

Chen a centaur in Moonstruck is just a complete ray of sunshine, no matter what happens he is always smiling and telling the punniest jokes. Moonstruck in general left me feeling happy when I finished reading.
7. Grinch Claus: A Character/ Book That Pretends To Be Something Its Not

A character in Girls of Paper and Fire must pretend to be something that they are not in order to try fight the system from the inside. Side note, I highly recommend this book, it was amazing!
8. Singing Around The Christmas Tree: A Book That Gives You Holiday Feels

It is no surprise that my favourite Christmas time read is the Grinch, I have a Grinch onesie I wear all year round. How the Grinch Stole Christmas just warms my heart and I can’t wait to read it again this year.
9. Invitation to Dinner: Spread The Christmas Cheer and Tag Someone
Anyone is free to do the tag if they want to get in the Christmas spirit, it was fun to make! Hope you all enjoy!
Great choices and such a fun tag! I might just do this one this month, if I can fit it in!

What a fun way to organize a post! I LOL’d at your description of throwing that book across the room. I haven’t gotten to that point yet — but I’ve stopped reading a few!

It has only happened once, I hope I never have to do it again!

What a fun tag. I love Jim Carrey as The Grinch and I hope to see the new version soon. I do love Auggie’s parents in Wonder.
